As a long-distance commuter, I always found myself struggling with my jacket. My commute consisted of a short drive to the station, followed by a train and bus ride to downtown Toronto. While my jacket kept me warm, it was always a hassle to take it on and off, especially in the crowded station. Not to mention trying to hold onto it while juggling my belongings, which was another nightmare. Often, I found myself covered in sweat once I reached my destination.
I remember the first time I saw someone wearing a jacket like a backpack using straps in the mall. I thought it was the coolest thing and immediately wanted one for myself. However, when I looked online, I was disappointed by how expensive they were. As someone who had just bought a new jacket, I didn't want to spend that kind of money.
So, as an engineer and handyman, I tried to integrate straps into my new jacket, but I was afraid of ruining it with my subpar sewing skills. Undeterred, I spent months experimenting with different designs and clips until I found the perfect solution that not only exceeded my expectations but also caught the attention of others. As I shared my creation with friends, coworkers, and family, I soon discovered that there was a real need for this type of product in the market. And so, my journey began.
